About

I've been a practicing psychotherapist in Austin since 2004, working with individuals, couples, families, and groups. Over the course of my career, I've worked in a variety of clinical settings with people from different backgrounds and at many different stages of life. I began my career counseling couples and families while leading therapy groups and doing in-home family therapy for court-mandated clients. Later, I worked with bereaved families, people facing end-of-life issues, and young adults building their adult lives. Those experiences continue to shape the way I think about psychotherapy and the realities that people contend with each day. In private practice, I work with people on a long-term basis and I often encourage people to start group therapy at some point in their life.

In 2012, I earned a PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision. My doctoral work focused on couple counseling, as well as teaching and training beginning therapists.

I'm an active member of the American Group Psychotherapy Association and the Austin Group Psychotherapy Society, where I previously served as president.
